I swim and coach for Greenville Splash. I started swimming when I was six years old!

My favorite event is the 100 breaststroke. My least favorite is anything backstroke. I am not a good kicker!

When I am not swimming, I enjoy hiking, cycling, watching movies and Coaching Masters swimmers. My swim meet tradition is coffee and power bars! I have an English Springer Spaniel named Macey. She is 2 years old……very energetic….runs really fast in our big yard and loves to cuddle on the couch or bed with her family. When I get a chance, I would like to travel to Greece and Italy.

Another Fun fact: My grandfather was an Olympian! He won a silver medal in the 1932 Olympics in the 110 High Hurdles. He held the world record at that time but got Pneumonia the week before the race. He was the Athletic Director and Track Coach at the University of Florida for over 30 years. The track at University of Florida is named after him. He was inducted into many Hall of Fames including the US Track and Field Hall of Fame. His name was Percy Morris Beard (Beard is my maiden name).
